Hello I am Suzanne May, a dedicated event and wedding planner based on the west coast of Vancouver Island, and the owner of West Coast Weddings and Events. I have lived and worked in the Tofino/Ucluelet area for over thirty years. I have developed close, professional relationships with the best service providers in Ucluelet and Tofino’s hospitality industry. I can ensure that your vision of your special event is realized to perfection. Planning a wedding, anniversary, proposal, cancer-free survivor celebration or retreat, especially from afar, can be a stressful and complicated process. It’s my intent to remove those barriers and make the planning as pleasant as the experience.

In the years since I started West Coast Weddings and Events, I’ve had the privilege to witness many special moments between couples, fathers and daughters, families, workmates and many more, in the most stunning setting, leaving me feeling very humble, but happy to have had a chance to be part of it. When I plan your event, you have the freedom to experience the event in the moment.

Nearly every day, someone asks me “what do you do for a living?” and I have the honour of answering that I plan customized one-of-a-kind weddings for special couples, and I love it. I truly feel that my passion for my career is apparent in every aspect of my work. From our first contact until the final guest leaves the party, your dreams and vision and our implementation will make it a day to remember. At times, I will be your friend and your confidante, and even your therapist. The bottom line is that I will do my job so that all you have to think about is being present at your wedding…and saying “I do” or by just allowing yourself to enjoy and be in the moment at your celebration or event!
