Sometimes you are lucky enough to meet someone and know instantly that friends you will become, it was this way with Nihad and Ken. Nihad called me a few short weeks ago asking if I could possibly help her put together a very special, private, romantic wedding for her and her soul mate Ken. I don’t think she really thought I would say yes I could and yes right here in Ucluelet. Nihad is from North Africa and with no family in BC to help her, she and I quickly became friends.
Sue and Drew from Snug Harbour Inn have been great and I am sure will be seeing the happily married couple again soon! Cara from Cobella hair salon styled Nihad’s hair a little differently than first planned and as you can see did a great job!
Flowers by Sandra designed the bouquet just as had been imagined, very delicate warm shades and I recall asking the bride if she wanted to have a few photo’s taken without it, as it was a little heavy but she loved it so much she kept it alongside her the entire photoshoot.
Local Officiant Mike Gitelman will be remembered by his soft spoken voice, heart of gold, his special touches such as the Eagle’s Feather Pen and most of all his kindness and i am sure that on their next visit mike will take the newlyweds on a hike or two!
Chris Pouget was the man of the moment capturing some amazing shots, the weather was hot, sunny and the backdrop perfect. Epic was how he described the location and it certainly shows…
Local baker Jeni Christie outdid herself with this romantic 1 tiered chocolate cake with white chocolate salal leaves–decadent!
Alison Werts did a fabulous job with Nihad’s make-up the request was drama but still elegant. When the bride put on her dress and took a look in the mirror she had to do a double-take to make sure it was her, she was surprised at her reflection and very happy.
Later that evening Richard Norwood delivered their exquisite wedding dinner to their suite at Snug Harbour Inn so they could dine overlooking the rugged view of Terrace Beach.

My husband and I wanted to get married in Ucluelet BC and we quickly realized we needed the help of a wedding planner. We wanted a luxurious accomodation but yet private..we wanted to be married by the beach …elegant floral arrangements and a nice cake…Suzanne put together our dream wedding and understood exactly what we were looking for…. all with care and friendship and very good value…..
