I would like to share with you a riveting 30 minute vimeo of of the story of how The Wild Pacific Trail came to be; here in my hometown of Ucluelet on the West Coast of Vancouver Island. It has recently been listed as one of the top trails in BC for hikers and lovers of the rugged coastline where wildlife such as majestic Bald Eagles, Grey Whales and the mighty Blue Herons to name but a few, might cross your path or soar above your head. Jim Martin had a vision that many thought to be just one mans dream. As a local I can say without a doubt in my mind that his dream has opened up a place where others, young and old can come explore the forest trails, sit and look out to sea, play on the rugged rocks, get lost looking into the tidal pools, bird watch, walk dogs or even run a marathon along it. My personal favourite activity to do on the trail is to help couples coming from near and far say “I Do”, yes small intimate weddings happen along the trail in many different locations. Some have a backdrop of the calm waters on a sunny day, others want the drama of the crashing waves and stormy skies to help tell their Love Story. There are quiet calm spots amidst the tall cedar giants and a historical lighthouse that is in many a wedding photograph. So please take a few minutes relax and see if this might be the right spot for your wedding, I look forward to hearing from you.
